Arbutus Music can help you with everything from choosing music and preparing your service booklet to providing first class musicians on the day.

Whether you are looking for a soloist, a few voices to boost congregational singing or a choir to provide special items, Arbutus Music is pleased to offer practical help and advice on your musical selections.

We can also provide an organist or other instrumentalists as required, subject to sufficient notice.

Arbutus Music specialises in providing vocal ensembles, from a quintet - the usual recommended minimum for choral items - to a larger choir, according to your preferences, budget and the size of your venue.

To aid you a little in choosing music, we have recorded a few choral items; the player above has extracts of a dozen, mostly well-known, pieces that will suit a variety of special occasions. To reflect the nature of most local venues the recording was made in a parish church with a two manual organ.

The extracts features 10 performers (3 sopranos, 2 altos, 2 tenors and 3 basses), enabling us to include a few items requiring rather more than the standard four parts (tracks 2 and 3 for instance). We can advise on numbers suitable for the repertoire that you would like, or suggest repertoire for a given number of singers as space and budget determine.

Of course, this is just a sample from a huge range of music and we are always pleased to receive other requests.

Arbutus Music has extensive experience in church music and in providing music for other occasions. We are happy to liaise with church ministers and venue managers as appropriate.
